Explanation of Shipping Container Grades:
Container Grade – Explanation | Example |
C-grade Container – Not Water and Vermin Proof. Holes / Rusts. Shows is age | An Un-Road Worthy car left outside – may still drive but mostly good for parts or restoration project. |
B-grade Container – Guaranteed Water and Vermin Proof, Lockable. Visible Repairs, Dints, surface rust. Still Structurally Sound, Straight and Solid. A Coat of Paint turns them into A Grade. | A well-used, but still usable and reliable second hand car in Roadworthy Condition. Kept outside, faded paint, visible scratches and dints. |
B+ or A grade Container – Guaranteed Water and Vermin Proof, Lockable. Minor Repairs, Dints, Little surface rust. Structurally 100% Sound, Straight and Solid. Looks good. | A used car in good condition. In Roadworthy Condition, kept Garaged for most of the time. Presents well inside and outside. Drives well. |
Cargo Grade Container – Guaranteed Water and Vermin Proof, Lockable. Minor Repairs, Dints, Little surface rust. Structurally 100% Sound, Straight and Solid. Shipping Lines would still use it. | A Very good used car in good condition. In Roadworthy Condition, kept Garaged for most of the time. Presents well inside and outside. Drives well. A car you would find at a Dealer. |
